
President
As a member of our QP Board, The President is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production. During hiring periods, they will work with the Board to organize and facilitate the hiring of the production team, cast, and band for the season, as well as the hiring of the Board for the following year. During the show season, they will work directly with all levels of the team to ensure channels of communication are clear and effective, production schedule is set and all moving parts are reaching appropriate deadlines, and that the coordination with The Mansion, the AMS, and any other on and off campus partnerships are maintained. The President is the leader of the Board and will run several weekly meetings, including but not limited to meetings with the Board and production team. The President is the leader of this organization, a decision-maker, and must have strong skills in organization, public speaking, time management, and curation of a safe space.
Time Commitment
~8-15 hours a week.
Vice-President
As a member of our QP Board, The Vice-President is responsible for working side-by-side, hand-in-hand with the President in the administration and execution of running Queen’s Players. Consider yourself a dynamic duo on par with: Batman and Robin, Bonnie and Clyde & Thelma and Louise. During hiring periods, they will work with the entire Board to organize and facilitate the hiring of the production team, cast, and band for the season, as well as the hiring of the Board for the following year. During the show season, they will collaborate with our Equity Director to lead our campus and community outreach to promote and connect us with the growing diverse network here at Queen’s, leading the coordination of social events and marketing with our Marketing Director, help prepare fundraisers and monetary incentives with our Finance Director and will also act as a liaison with our partners at The Mansion, act as a proxy for meetings with the AMS, and contribute to making Queen’s Players an active learning space for everyone at the table.

8-12* hours a week (*varies week by week depending on proximity to show)!
Marketing Director
As a member of our QP Board, The Marketing Director will work with the Board to organize and facilitate the hiring of the production team, cast, and band for the season, as well as the hiring of the Board for the following year. They will attend weekly meetings with the board and production team, act as the liaison for all public relations related inquiries (i.e., interviews, press releases, all published content featuring QP that is external to the organization like The Journal, CFRC, or KTA), and take charge of updating and maintaining all social media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube). Once hired, they will be responsible for creating and executing an innovative marketing strategy that reflects the brand of Queen’s Players, supporting their Producers in the creation and coordination of all content from QP social media accounts, and contribute to making Queen’s Players a positive space for everyone at the table.

Finance Director
As a member of our QP Board, The Finance Director will attend weekly meetings with the board and production team, construct the season budget, keep track of all incoming money and spending, and assist in the organization of fundraising events. At the end of the season, they will provide a financial summary and develop the charity applications. During hiring periods, they will work alongside the board to facilitate the hiring of the production team, the hiring of the Board for the following year, and contribute to making Queen’s Players an accountable space for everyone at the table.

Equity Director
As a member of our QP Board, The Equity Director will attend weekly meetings with the board and production team, and work alongside the board to facilitate the the hiring of the production team, cast, and band for the season, as well as the hiring of the following board. They will facilitate the audition panel and act as a voice in the final casting decisions, host workshops surrounding topics of identity and thoughtful satire with the team, and work with the Vice President to maintain our campus outreach. The equity director’s primary role is to contribute to making Queen’s Players an accountable, safe, and positive space for everyone at the table, so that everyone can bring their max to every show!
